January was filled with teachers spending time analyzing student achievement data, making plans to teach students at their level and providing high quality instruction. Thanks to the hard work of our staff and parents, we are already seeing growth in the area of reading in primary grades. Parents, please continue to use the strategies that our teachers have shared to support your students at home. In addition, keep asking your student’s teacher for ways in which you can support learning. We are so fortunate to have such involved families! Our focus during February is to provide targeted instruction and keep a positive trajectory with regards to student growth. As we near the end of February and head into March, teachers will have second trimester assessment results and grades. This data will be used to plan for instruction during the final trimester.
February 14th will be a late start day. School will begins at 10:20 and buses will run 90 minutes later than regularly scheduled.
There will be no school the week of February 19th through the 23rd.
A huge thank you to the many parents who volunteer on a regular basis to support learning in our school.
