We have lots to celebrate as a school community every school year because of our amazing staff, students and families. However, this year we have received national recognition through the National Blue Ribbon Schools Award. Two teachers will be going to Washington DC to represent all of us at the Blue Ribbon Ceremony on November 6th and 7th.
I would like to thank Amber Tanaka for her energy, technical aptitude, stamina and grit in seeing this website project come to fruition. What a great resource for our school community.
Our annual Walk-a-thon was another positive event for everyone. A huge thank you to all of the volunteers who made this event so successful. Our students and staff had a wonderful time participating in healthy activity together.
Thanks to all staff, students and families who participated in our inaugural DCSD STEAM Night at Douglas High School. It was a great opportunity to learn, explore and connect either as presenters or participants.
One SAFETY reminder for the month! During student drop off and pick, it is extremely important that all students and adults use the cross walk on Stephanie Way. The safest location is our west parking lot both in the morning and afternoon. Thank you and have a wonderful October!
